Glow Light
The Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of this device is that it is readable even under bright sunlight and in the dark. Thanks to the glow light technology of this device. This technology was created by its team of in-house designers. What makes reading more comfortable with this device is that it uses a form of front lighting LED technology. Eight LED lights are used to distribute light evenly on the screen. Because of this natural looking overhead lighting, letters appear soft and they hardly hurt the eyes during prolonged sessions of reading. The company has spent about two years researching to bring in this superior lighting technology. There is a provision to adjust the brightness of the light on the screen. Depending on the ambiance lighting, you can adjust the brightness of your e-reader. When the brightness is turned to its full capacity, this Glow Light averages 135 lux.
Battery life
This e-reader comes loaded with a battery with super power. Going by what the company claims, you can use this device with its light turned off for two months without charging it. However, for heavy reading for about 30 minutes a day, the company says you can charge this e-reader once a month. The battery of this device supports heavy reading.
Interface
On the top right hand corner you will find the WiFi icon and a little light bulb icon. This icon when put on and off opens up a control panel that can be used to adjust the brightness level. There is the N button that gives you access to the home screen, Barnes & Noble store and settings. When you press and hold the N button for a few seconds, the Glow Light will be turned on or off.
