5 Good Movie Picks For Your Kindle Fire

With the Kindle Fire coming out this Tuesday, November 15th you will want to populate that baby with some good books, good movies and good music. So this article is going to kick off our special series on good media to download to your Kindle Fire.

As a movie buff I thought it appropriate to start off with 5 good movies for your Kindle Fire tablet from Amazon. These are films we’ve seen and love. You might too.

1. Bridesmaids

Do you like funny movies? Then you MUST get this title for your Kindle Fire. My friend and I seen Bridesmaids went it first came out during the Summer and we have not laughed that hard in a movie theater in a long, long time. The movie stars a bunch of cast members from Saturday Night Live and the plump chick from Mike And Molly – who steals the film and is HILARIOUS. This  movie is a rockin’ rollin’ good time and one to watch with a friend (or two). AAA++

2. X Men: First Class

We admit we are not big fans of the entire X-men franchise and have not seen all of them, but this one we did see and is a stand out. It’s a pre-quel which means it takes you back to the very beginning of the story and how it all started and how everyone met, etc. We love the opening scenes in X-Men: First Class and we especially enjoyed the character – Erik. Kevin Bacon stars as one of the villains in the film and is just OK in his role, we much enjoy and prefer the young actors along with the fiendishly good Erik. This movie is a great addition to your Kindle Fire movie list. AAA+

3. Fireproof

This is a terribly moving and entertaining film that everyone should see and as such, makes my list of top picks for good movies for your Kindle Fire. Fireproof stars 80′s teen sensation Kirk Cameron and the story revolves around a broken marriage with the trials and tribulations associated with such a topic. However the movie is pure gold, tender and sweet in its dealing with the subject matter – the acting is great and the cast couldn’t have been picked any better. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this movie if you like Kirk, if you prefer clean PG movies and enjoy a movie filled with hope and inspiration. [Our description is probably  not doing this movie justice - watch it and you'll see what we mean.] Then come back here and let’s discuss, shall we. AAA+

4. Dolphin Tale

This cute movie is aimed at kids however adults will appreciate it as well since it stars two likable adult actors in Harry Connick, JR and the lovely Ashely Judd. Dolphin Tale is the story of one boy and his quest for love and adventure. A cute and fearless dolphin is also involved and is the central theme throughout the film. This is a heartwarming and sweet movie, that is great for family night. (Out December 15th, but you can pre-order it now) AAA+

4. Water For Elephants

This movie stars Twilight hunk Edward Pattinson and cutie Reese Witherspoon. It’s a tender film about a young vets journey as he discovers a new different way of life via a traveling circus and the forbidden woman he falls madly in love with. As an animal lover I was weary of seeing this film as I didn’t want to see any animal cruelty scenes, but aside from one icky scene – it wasn’t that bad. Water For Elephants is a vivid and dramatic film that beautifully complements the full color screen of the Kindle Fire. We quite enjoyed it and think you might too.  AAA++
