6 People The Kindle Was Made For

The Amazon ebook reader known as the Kindle is a great gadget, but it’s also good for those who throughout the day have a bit of free or slow time on their hands.

Let’s take a look below at six different types of people we feel the Kindle was made for.

Agree? Disagree? Tell us in the comment section.

1. Teachers – one of the best methods I can think of to get young peeps interested in reading is via the use of cool technology or gadgets. What cooler gadget for reading is there than the Kindle from Amazon? None that I can think of, well other than the Nook or iPad. But both of these are pricier than the Kindle, not too mention neither one has e-Ink.

2. Bus Drivers – last I checked bus drivers take rather long breaks from their transfer routes and as such have some time on their hands throughout the day every day. I can imagine that a bit of light reading while waiting would be a welcome respite from the long hours most have to endure.

3. Flight Attendants – this is another profession where men and women have “breaks” that would facilitate reading while in waiting. Plus no one wants to lug around their three favorites books, the Kindle can hold 1,500 all in your purse or briefcase.

4. Taxi Drivers – the name of the game here is picking up clients and taking them to their destination. But what does one do while a client comes into view? That’s right. Load up your digital reader and find a juicy novel to wait with.

5. Small town Shop or Counter Clerks – if you have ever lived in a small town, then you know life runs at a much slower pace and clerks can (if they want to) pull out an ebook reader and catch a few pages of their fave novel. Just not when a customer is in front of you, please!

6. Baby Sitters – little Junior usually keeps the sitter quite busy, leaving little if (any) time for TV viewing let alone read a book. But little Junoir does eventually…tire out and hit the covers. Now (after the baby has gone to sleep) is the perfect time to reach for the Kindle and catch up on an awesome mystery adventure or two.

The Kindle is a great gadget for sure and serves one great little purpose – reading! Think of who you know that throughout the day has “breaks” and or lulls of time that allow for sneaking in a chapter or two from a good book.

This (along with the 6 people profiled above) is who the Kindle was made for.
